As part of the 195in365 mission, our Education Support initiative focuses on providing laptops and computers to rural schools and underserved communities across Uganda. By bridging the digital divide, we aim to promote ICT skills, environmental stewardship, and educational equity.
Why It Matters
The government and development partners including UCC/UCUSAF have underscored the importance of ICT integration in schools to meet national education goals and future workforce demands. However, many rural and marginal communities still lack devices, connectivity, and reliable power making ICT access a critical gap.
Objectives
Equip underserved schools with solar-powered laptops and computer labs
Enhance ICT literacy among students and teachers
Support Uganda’s Education Digital Agenda (2021–2025), which seeks to integrate technology into learning environments and expand access to educational resources
Foster future innovators capable of addressing climate change and environmental challenges through digital tools
